LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney High School senior and cross-country athlete Kara Sanchez has been recognized among the state’s top student-athletes, earning the prestigious Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Academic All-State Award.
Sanchez was nominated and selected for the honor based on her outstanding academic performance, including her GPA, class rank, and ACT/SAT scores.
The award highlights student-athletes who not only excel in their sport but also demonstrate exceptional dedication in the classroom.
Coaches and school administrators praised Kara for her commitment, leadership, and work ethic—qualities she displays both in athletics and in her academic pursuits.
