CHILDRESS, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds competed in the Childress Basketball Tournament over the weekend, finishing with a 1-2 record against a strong field of teams.
Floydada earned a narrow 55–54 victory over Christ Academy in a hard fought contest that came down to the final moments.
The Whirlwinds also faced tough matchups against Memphis and Vernon, coming up short in both games.
Despite the losses, the tournament provided valuable experience as Floydada continues to build and prepare for the remainder of the season.
