Lockney Longhorn Band Earns More High School Accolades

LOCKNEY, TX -The Lockney Longhorn Band continues to make its mark, earning more high school accolades through strong performances at this year’s honor band auditions.

Congratulations are in order for Daniel Alvarado, JoJo Cuellar, Carter Duniven, Noah Gonzales, Noah Perez, Anyssa Sanchez, and Kara Sanchez, who all went above and beyond in preparing the challenging all-state track etudes and scales. Their dedication and hard work paid off, with every student placing well within their respective sections.

Several Longhorn Band members advanced to the next level of competition, further highlighting the strength of the program.

Daniel Alvarado, Carter Duniven, Noah Gonzales, Anyssa Sanchez, and Kara Sanchez earned spots in the Region Honor Band.

In addition, Carter Duniven and Noah Gonzales qualified to compete at the Area level, the next round of the all-state track process, which will take place in January.

Lockney showed up strong at the event, demonstrating both musical excellence and a commitment to preparation. Congratulations to all of these students for their outstanding achievements and for proudly representing the Lockney Longhorn Band.
