FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds began district play against the Ralls Lady Rabbits on Tuesday in Floydada.
The Lady Winds experienced some foul trouble early in the first quarter, but found offensive momentum in the second quarter and were able to take a 24-13 lead going into halftime.
Floydada was able to continue their momentum in the second half and secured the district victory against the Lady Rabbits 43-30.
The Lady Winds were led in scoring by junior Korbyn Womack (10 points) and senior Kyra Segura (9 points).
Floydada moves to 1-0 in district play and will look ahead to their next district matchup against Post on Friday.
