LOCKNEY, TX – The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one individual hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the head.
According to authorities, deputies were dispatched on December 19, 2025, to Covenant Medical Center in Plainview in reference to the injured victim.
During the course of the investigation, Sean Malachi Rendon was identified as the suspect, and arrest warrants were obtained.
With assistance from the Texas Anti-Gang Task Force, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, the Fugitive Task Force, and the Texas Department of Public Safety, Rendon was taken into custody without incident.
The investigation remains ongoing, and officials have confirmed there is no threat to the public at this time.
