
FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Fire Department responded to 17 incidents in November, including multiple calls involving cotton equipment and module fires during harvest season.
On November 4, crews were dispatched twice to separate cotton stripper fires along FM207, and again on November 6 to a vehicle accident east of town.
Notable responses included a cotton fire at the Co-Op Gin, a grass fire north of US70, and a bee attack at Cedar Hill.
Crews also battled a series of fires at 214 E. Kentucky, including a house fire on November 28 and two rekindles in the following days.
Additional calls included vehicle accidents, utility pole fires, and an alarm activation.
