FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds were in action on Tuesday night as they were matched up against the Tulia Hornets in a non-district game.
The Whirlwinds gained the momentum early and surged out to a 24-15 lead going into halftime.
Continued pressure in the third quarter, and Floydada had a thirteen-point lead at the end of the third quarter.
The Whirlwinds added to their lead in the fourth quarter and secured the victory 50-34.
Floydada was led in scoring by Manny De La Fuente(15 points) and Brandon Diaz (9 points).
The Whirlwinds will resume district play on Friday in New Home.
