
NEW HOME, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds suffered a tough district road loss Friday night, falling to the New Home Leopards in district play at New Home.
The Leopards jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, using a fast-paced offense to build a 38–5 advantage by the end of the first quarter. New Home continued to extend its lead throughout the first half, taking a 64–18 lead into halftime.
Despite continued effort from the Whirlwinds, New Home maintained control in the second half, pushing the pace and capitalizing on scoring opportunities. The Leopards ultimately secured a 102–34 victory.
With the loss, Floydada falls to 1–1 in district play. The Whirlwinds will look to bounce back as district competition continues in the coming weeks.
