FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds were in district action again on Tuesday against the New Deal Lions.
The Lions jumped out early and created momentum, taking a 19-9 lead after the first quarter.
The Whirlwinds found some momentum themselves, but still trailed 40-16 going into halftime.
New Deal would close out the second half and secure the district win 71-46.
The Whirlwinds fall to 4-14 overall and 1-2 in district play and will look ahead to their next district game on Friday in Abernathy.
