FLOYDADA, TX – The City of Floydada has provided an update on the ongoing water issues affecting residents, confirming that repairs have been completed at two separate leak locations within the city.
According to city officials, crews successfully fixed both leaks and the system is now operating as expected. The city is currently awaiting approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to officially rescind the boil water notice.
While progress has been made, officials stress that the boil water notice remains in effect at this time. Residents should continue to boil all water intended for drinking, cooking, and oral hygiene until the notice is formally lifted by the TCEQ.
City leaders expressed appreciation for the community’s patience as the situation continues to be monitored and finalized.
The Floyd County Record will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
