
SAN ANGELO, TX – Floyd County students represented their schools and community well at the recent San Angelo Ag Mechanics Show, bringing home top placements in several competitive divisions.
Emma Nelson, a student at Lockney ISD, earned 1st place with her showbox stand, showcasing excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and practical design. Her project stood out among strong competition from across the region.
Kanon Rainwater, representing Floydada ISD, claimed 1st place in the Large Indoor Furniture Class, demonstrating advanced woodworking skills and quality construction in a highly competitive category.
Also from Floydada ISD, Luis Lopez turned in an impressive performance, earning 2nd place in the Offset Grill Class, a division that tests both functionality and precision welding.
These achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and technical skills of Floyd County’s agricultural students, as well as the support of their families, teachers, and ag mechanics instructors.
