LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney Welding is set to host the Longhorn Build-Off, an exciting hands-on welding competition designed to highlight teamwork, technical skill, and craftsmanship.
The event will bring together students and builders from the area who are ready to put their welding abilities to the test in a competitive, real-world environment. Teams will consist of three to four participants, encouraging collaboration while working in a competitive, real-world setting.
The entry fee is $300 per team, and lunch will be provided for all participants.
The day’s schedule is as follows:
8:00 a.m. – Team check-in
8:30 a.m. – Safety meeting
9:00 a.m. – Competition start time
12:00–1:00 p.m. – Lunch break
3:00 p.m. – Tools down / stop time

Organizers say the Longhorn Build-Off is more than just a competition—it’s a chance for students to gain valuable experience, sharpen their skills, and connect with others who share an interest in welding and skilled trades.
