Floydada FFA Students Earn Top Honors at San Angelo Stock Show

SAN ANGELO, TX – Members of Floydada FFA proudly represented their school and community at the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo, held February 12-14 in San Angelo.

Competing against exhibitors from across Texas, Floydada students brought home multiple top placings in both the gilt and cattle divisions, showcasing months of hard work, preparation, and dedication.

Gilt Division Results

Israel Cervera earned 8th place with his Duroc gilt.

Jerald Henderson, showing under Henderson/Holmes, had an outstanding show in the Berkshire division. He placed 4th Overall Berkshire Gilt out of approximately 130 entries, finished 2nd in his class, and earned a coveted spot in the Texas Stars Gilt Sale.

Addison Hightower placed 10th with her Spot gilt.

DJ Sanchez, showing with the Holmes family, earned 7th place with a Chester gilt. Sanchez also placed 5th in the White Cross division and 8th in the Dark Cross division.

Pea Shuping secured 9th place with a Spot gilt.

Natalie Garza placed 5th with her Duroc gilt.

Cattle Division Results

Carson Kellison earned top honors in the Charolais division, winning her class with a Charolais heifer and being named Champion Charolais Showman.

Parker Kellison also had a strong showing in the Charolais division, earning Reserve Champion in their division with a Charolais heifer.

The San Angelo Stock Show is one of the premier livestock exhibitions in the state, providing students the opportunity to compete at a high level while developing responsibility, work ethic, and agricultural leadership skills.

Floydada FFA continues to demonstrate excellence across multiple livestock divisions, and this year’s results reflect the commitment and dedication of these students, their families, and advisors.
