Lockney Powerlifting Competes at Longhorns Last Chance Meet in Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lockney High School powerlifting team competed at the Longhorns Last Chance Meet held February 26, 2026, at Lubbock High School in Lubbock, Texas. Facing a competitive field, several Lockney athletes delivered strong performances and earned top finishes in their respective weight classes.

In the 132-pound weight class, Ryan Casillas secured a third-place finish. Josiah Rosales competed in the 148-pound unequipped division and placed eighth overall.

Robert De Los Santos claimed first place in the 165-pound division, continuing an impressive season on the platform. In the 198-pound class, Esaiel Nunez finished fourth, while Edward Longoria captured another first-place finish for Lockney in the 275-pound division.

The meet served as an important late-season opportunity for athletes to post qualifying totals and fine-tune their performance as the postseason approaches. Lockney’s results reflect the team’s continued dedication, preparation, and competitive strength as they move forward in the 2026 powerlifting season.
