LUBBOCK, TX — The Lockney Lady Horns delivered a strong performance at the Lockney Powerlifting Meet held February 19 at the Lubbock High Meet in Lubbock.

Caelyn Jimenez captured first place in the 148-pound division, while Zaibrea Calderon earned first place in the 220-pound division. Both athletes led the way for the Lady Horns with dominant performances on the platform.

In addition to their top finishes, Lockney will be well represented at the regional meet. The following Lady Horns qualified for regionals:

Jasmine Gonzales

Caelyn Jimenez

Elliana Jimenez

Coaches praised the team for their hard work and determination throughout the meet, calling it a great showing for the Longhorns and Lady Horns. They also expressed appreciation to the parents and fans who came out to support the athletes.

With multiple regional qualifiers and individual champions, Lockney’s powerlifting program continues to demonstrate strength and depth as the postseason approaches.
