LOCKNEY, TX – The One Act Play team recently completed district competition with a strong showing, earning several honors and advancing their season toward the next round of performances. The group finished third overall among competing schools and was also recognized for Best Lighting, highlighting the technical work that helped bring the production to life on stage.
Several students were recognized individually for their performances. Ryan, Bray, and Zummie each earned Honorable Mention All-Star Cast honors, receiving silver medals for their work. Jaime and Siya were named to the All-Star Cast, one of the competition’s top acting recognitions.
The production will continue its competition season with the next contest scheduled for March 25.
Community members will also have the opportunity to see the play locally. A public performance is scheduled for Thursday, March 12, giving friends, family, and supporters a chance to watch the award-winning production before the team heads into the next round of competition.
