LOCKNEY, TX – The Texas High School Girls State Powerlifting Meet will include strong representation from Lockney this year, as four Lockney athletes have qualified to compete at the state level following an impressive performance at the regional competition.

Earning a trip to the state meet are Nayiahlee Vasquez, Caelyn Jimenez, Ciara Hernandez and Ellianna Jimenez. The four lifters secured their spots after a dominant showing at the Region I meet, where the Lockney girls powerlifting team finished first overall.
