FLOYDADA, TX – The #1-ranked Floydada Lady Winds battled the Lubbock Christian Lady Eagles on Tuesday in a non-district game.
The Lady Winds started the scoring in the bottom of the first inning, scoring five runs and taking a 5-0 lead.
Floydada’s defense came up big, with 9 strikeouts from pitcher Maddie Pyle to secure the 9-0 victory.
The Lady Winds improve to 21-2 overall and are 1-0 in district play.
Floydada will travel to Clarendon on Saturday to resume district competition.
