
FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada High School tennis team turned in an impressive performance, bringing home multiple top finishes and showcasing depth across both singles and doubles competition.
Leading the way was Braeden Ramirez, who captured 1st place in boys singles, highlighting a strong day on the court for Floydada. In mixed doubles action, the duo of Tiffiny Perez and Martin Ramirez also earned 1st place, continuing the team’s winning momentum.
Several other Whirlwinds athletes secured podium finishes as well. Natalie Garza claimed 2nd place in girls singles, while Hiram Lopez added a 3rd place finish in boys singles. Katie Landin also contributed with a 3rd place finish in girls singles, rounding out a strong showing in individual play.
In doubles competition, Floydada saw success on the girls side, with Ella Snowden and Isabella Rodriguez teaming up for 3rd place, alongside Isabel Johnston and Daniella Rodriguez, who also finished 3rd in girls doubles.
Overall, the results reflect a well-rounded effort from the Floydada tennis program, with athletes competing at a high level across multiple brackets. The strong finishes highlight both individual talent and teamwork as the Whirlwinds continue their season.
