
LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Lady Horns had a big day on the track as the 8th grade girls captured the District 3-2A Middle School Track & Field Meet Championship, earning the team title and bringing home the district plaque.
The district meet showcased the hard work and dedication the Lady Horns have put in all season, with athletes competing across multiple events and battling for every point. Their efforts paid off in a major way as the 8th grade team finished on top, securing the District Championship and adding another proud moment to Lockney athletics.
The 7th grade Lady Horns also turned in an impressive performance, finishing in 3rd place overall and narrowly missing a higher finish by only 18 points. Their strong showing proved the future remains bright for the Lady Horns track program.
With a district title in hand and momentum building, Lockney athletes continue to show that hard work, determination, and team pride are leading the way. During Jr. High athletics, they will celebrate each medal earned throughout the season making the year’s success amazing.
