
CLARENDON, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds traveled to Clarendon on Tuesday to battle the Broncos in a district matchup.
The Whirlwinds started the game with two runs in the top of the first, going up 2-0.
Floydada extended their lead in the top of the third inning with four more runs, going up 6-0.
The Broncos then found momentum in the later innings, scoring one in the third, two in the fourth, two in the fifth, and four in the sixth, to secure the victory 9-7.
The Whirlwinds move to 10-6 overall and 2-1 in district, and will look ahead to their next game in Quanah against the Indians.
