LITTLEFIELD, TX – Due to forecasted weather on Thursday, the Area Championship softball series between the #4-ranked Floydada Lady Winds and the Hale Center Lady Owls has been moved up one day and will now begin on Wednesday, April 29th at Lady Cat Ballpark in Littlefield.
The Lady Winds advanced to the Area round after a dominant Bi-District sweep of the Highland Park Lady Hornets, winning 16-0 and 17-1.
Hale Center earned their spot in the series by defeating Post in two games, 7-4 and 6-4, in the Bi-District round.
Game one of the best-of-three series is now scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, with game two to follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Game three, if necessary, will still be played Saturday at 7:00 p.m.
Gate admission for the games will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.
