FLOYDADA, TX – Unofficial results from the May 2, 2026 General Election in Floydada show voters selecting two candidates for the City Council Member At-Large positions, along with deciding the fate of Proposition A.
In the at-large council race, three candidates appeared on the ballot, with voters allowed to select up to two. According to the cumulative results report, Gabriel De La Fuente received the highest number of votes with 50 total votes (48.08%). Bryan Wayne Martin followed with 39 votes (37.50%), while James T. Collins received 15 votes (14.42%).
A total of 104 votes were cast in the council race across absentee, early voting, and Election Day ballots.
For Proposition A, voters showed strong support. The measure passed with 58 votes in favor (72.50%), compared to 22 votes against (27.50%). A total of 80 votes were cast on the proposition.
