David Gonzales, age 66, passed away on Tuesday, June 8, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at San Jose Catholic Church in Lockney. Interment followed at the Lockney Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Lockney. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home of Lockney.
David was born June 12, 1954 to Dominga Gonzales in Lockney, Texas. He met and married the love of his life, Mary Ann Guzman, on July 12, 1977 in Floydada, and they shared 43 wonderful years together. David was a hard-working man and enjoyed his welding job. He also enjoyed being outdoors on his free time and loved fishing, hunting and camping. David’s pride and joy was his bonus daughter and bonus grandchildren.
David is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann Gonzales; his bonus daughter, Mari Torres; and 3 bonus grandchildren, Aatrayu Leal, Jaiden Leal and Aaliyah Leal; his brother, Alberto Gonzales; and his sisters, San Juana Torrez, Eleanor Martinez and Susan Garcia.
