
TAHOKA — The Lockney Longhorns claimed the boys Consolation Championship at the Tahoka Tournament this past weekend by going 2-1.
The Longhorns lost in opening round on Thursday to the Lubbock Kingdom Prep Warriors 58-51. Lockney rebounded with convincing wins over the Sudan Hornets 74-31 on Friday, and the Lorenzo Hornets 71-38 on Saturday. The win over Lorenzo was for the Consolation trophy.
Kelan Verette is the Lockney boys coach.
