FCISD recognizes students, staff of the month

FLOYDADA — Nine students and three educators were recognized for their contributions to Floydada Collegiate ISD at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.

A.B. Duncan Principal Monica Smith first recognized three Pre-Kindergarten students in Carson Kellison, Liliana Martinez and Amaya Cervera before recognizing third graders Matthew Castillo-Reyes and Parker Kellison. She then recognized new First Grade teacher Kellye Lane and Teaching Assistant Brittany Perez for their work during the fall semester.

Secondary campus Principal Dara Ware recognized 6th grader Kaidn McHam and 7th grader Nori Medellin, as well as high schoolers Holly Monroe and Nicholas Garcia, who both were unable to attend the meeting due to the band concert. She also recongized first-year Coach Jesus Quinonez, who teaches Jr. High Social Studies.
