FLOYDADA – The Floydada community is getting ready to say goodbye to an influential couple as they prepare for the next steps in their ministry.

Justin & Kari Brown, pastors at Floydada’s Trinity Assembly of God church, recently announced they would be leaving the church following the July 17 services.

The couple will be moving to Levelland, a decision not made lightly as the pair and their three children have been a large part of the Floydada community over the past several years. “Floydada has been really good to us,” Justin told the Record. “It has been really good to my family.”

In describing their departure, Brown said leaving Floydada will be difficult, but he is hopeful for the opportunities for the community moving forward.  “There’s something new for us, and that means something new for Floydada too.”

Brown, who also serves as the director of Floydada’s Economic Development Corporation, said he would be leaving that post on July 29.
