Myrtie Gibson (Lockney)
Myrtie Gibson, age 84, of Lockney, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. Graveside services will be at the Lockney Cemetery at 10:30 am Monday, August 1, 2022. Visitation will be Sunday, July 31, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 p.m., family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Lockney.
Myrtie Gaskins Gibson was born September 5, 1937, to Otho and Mary Gaskins. She passed from this life on July 27, 2022. Myrtie was a member of the Lockney community for over 60 years and was a member of the West College and 3rd Street Church of Christ. She was employed by Lockney Health and Rehab as a Charge Nurse and taught CNA classes for Tulia, Floydada, and Lockney.
Myrtie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, son Sidney, and brother Jerry Gaskins.
Sons survive Myrtie; Carl Gibson and wife LaJuana, Dale Gibson and wife Paulinda, daughter; Inez Gibson, and daughter-in-law Terrie Gibson, three grandchildren; Jennifer (Luke) Bailey, Ricky Gibson, and Chelsey (Mitch) Price, and seven great-grandchildren; Shane, Sadie, Rhett, Chloe, Evy, Sydney, and Jaxon. One brother and two sisters also survive her.
