FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Both Floyd County teams will wrap up district play this week as Lockney travels to Bovina and Floydada travels to Olton.
The Lockney Longhorns (2-7, 1-3) are on the road against the Bovina Mustangs (3-6, 2-2) as they look to secure a playoff spot with a win on Thursday.
Currently, the Longhorns sit 5th in the district standings; with a win tonight, they will have the chance to get the 4th spot and advance into the postseason.
The Floydada Whirlwinds (6-3, 3–1) will make the trip to Olton on Friday to take on the Mustangs (6-3, 2-2).
This game will influence the seeding for the Winds as they have secured a spot in the postseason already.
