Whirlwinds Trap Friona Player
FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds were in action on Monday afternoon against the Friona Chieftains.
In a preseason interview, Coach Walker mentioned that he likes to implement an intense and fast-paced game to get the opponents out of their comfort zone.
The Whirlwinds were able to take the lead on the first tip and never looked back.
A big first half from the Winds, thanks to a disciplined defense and aggressive offense, had them up 61-17.
It was more of the same story in the second half, as Floydada got the win, 94-39.
The Floydada boys JV also played Monday and won 60-26.
