
FLOYDADA, TX – The #17 Floydada Lady Winds hosted the Lockney Lady Horns on Tuesday in a district game.
The Lady Horns would strike first in the top of the first inning; however, the Lady Winds would respond with four runs in the bottom half to take a 4-1 lead.
In the bottom of the second inning, Floydada would add two more runs to extend their lead to 6-1.
Floydada’s Carisa Fernandez would hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the fifth to help extend the Lady Winds lead to 10-1.
Lockney was able to add one more run in the top of the sixth, but the team was unable to rally and would fall to the Floydada Lady Winds 11-2.
