FLOYD COUNTY, TX – A dozen baseball players from Lockney and Floydada were recognized recently by coaches in District 3-2A.
Lockney sophomore Dyllan Thiebaud was named Offensive MVP for 2023.
First-team players include Derrik Suerez (Floydada) for Middle Infield, Haygen Lefevre (Lockney) at Third Base, Xavier Jimenez (Lockney) in Outfield, and Utility Players Gage Graves (Lockney) and Juan Gonzales (Floydada).
Second-team players include infielder Malaki Alvis (Lockney), pitcher Ilan Lopez (Floydada), catcher Kyler Gillispie (Floydada), outfielder Iziaih Alvarado (Floydada), designated hitter Andres Mendoza (Floydada), and Honorable Mention First Base Brett Brittain (Floydada).
Two seniors from Olton received the MVP awards: Logan Lassiter was the overall MVP, and Brody Langford was named Defensive MVP for the 2023 season.
