Whirlwinds Earn All-District Baseball Honors

FLOYDADA, TX — Several standout players from the Floydada Whirlwinds baseball team have been recognized with All-District honors following an impressive season on the diamond.

Leading the pack is Tyrean Henderson, who was named Defensive Player of the Year for his stellar performance in the field, anchoring the Whirlwinds’ defense throughout the season.

A strong presence from Floydada was seen across the First Team selections:

Brody Hughes was honored as First Team Catcher, showcasing both leadership behind the plate and consistency at bat.

Adrian Martinez secured a spot as a First Team Pitcher, commanding the mound with dominant performances.

Manny DeLaFuente earned recognition as a First Team Infielder for his solid glove work and offensive contributions.

Elizar Martinez was selected as a First Team Outfielder, making key plays in the outfield and delivering at the plate.

Braiden Garcia was named First Team Utility Player, highlighting his versatility and impact across multiple positions.

On the Second Team, RJ McHam was honored at First Base, recognized for his reliability and steady play throughout the season.

In addition, Jerald Henderson and Enrique Hartline received Honorable Mention, rounding out Floydada’s representation among the district’s best.

These honors reflect the hard work and dedication of the athletes and coaching staff, and mark a proud moment for the Floydada baseball program.
