FLOYDADA, TX – Residents of Floydada should prepare for a temporary power outage late Tuesday night as Floydada Power & Light has announced scheduled maintenance.
According to the City of Floydada’s official Facebook page, power will be shut off Tuesday, August 26, beginning around midnight to allow crews to perform preventative maintenance and testing on the city’s main transformer, which sustained damage during Friday morning’s outage.
The planned outage is expected to last between 2 to 4 hours, and officials advise residents to make necessary preparations ahead of time.
The City of Floydada and Floydada Power & Light expressed appreciation for the community’s patience and understanding as crews work to ensure safe and reliable service.
