FLOYDADA, TX — The Floydada City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, August 19, approving several measures, including a zoning variance, capital improvement planning, and a regional water budget proposal.
Council unanimously approved a variance request for 602 West Jackson Street following a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Committee earlier that day. The council also voted to begin accepting bids for a new roof at the Senior Citizens Building on West Crockett Street.
In other business, members approved the 2025–2026 budget proposal from the Mackenzie Municipal Water Authority and ratified the city’s July transfers and expenses. The minutes from the previous meeting, held on July 29, were also approved.
