FLOYDADA, TX — The Floydada Volunteer Fire Department responded to four separate calls throughout the month of September, ranging from traffic collisions to wildland fires.
On September 8, crews were dispatched to the intersection of U.S. 62 and FM 37 for a two-vehicle crash. The next evening, firefighters tackled a hay bale fire eight miles east of town along U.S. 70.
Mid-month, on September 14, crews responded to reports of trees burning near the Floydada Country Club. The final call for the month came on September 28, when the department extinguished a grass fire six miles east of Floydada on County Road 241.
