FLOYDADA, TX – This column is written by students and teacher leaders from TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators).
It’s competition week, which means the Floydada TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) chapter is feeling a little nervous, excited, and prepared.
As we prepare for the competition, it is clear that we’re all excited about going. For some of us, this will be our first time, which means there is a little bit of anxiety… which is OK!! Aside from competition, this experience also gives us the time to bond with each other and to help each other with our projects. It gives us the opportunity to bond, it provides our chapter a chance to go out and show our creativity, to brag about our TAFE chapter, to show our pride for our school and for Education, and to have FUN!
This competition also teaches us RESILIENCE!!! All of us have experienced the loss of not advancing forward in the competition. Some of us will not make it to state, but at least we can be confident that we still took our chances, tried our hardest, and made the best of it. Regardless of the results on November 8th… I am thankful for this TAFE Chapter, I am thankful for my friends and the experiences that we have together, and our willingness to encourage each other through the tough stuff. I am proud of our school and the opportunities that are provided for us here.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL MY TAFE FRIENDS!!
See you on the other side guys!!!
