FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada ISD Board of Trustees will meet Tuesday evening to cover several key items, including a public hearing on the district’s financial rating from the state and efforts to address staffing challenges. The district expects to once again receive an “A” rating under the Texas FIRST (Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas), scoring 96 out of a possible 100 points.
Also on the agenda are possible actions related to the annual audit and a plan to address uncertified teachers. The board is expected to review the tax report, cash flow statement, and October bills, and will set the December meeting date.
Personnel changes include accepting Maria Dominguez’s resignation from Duncan Cafeteria and considering hiring Jaine Francis as a speech therapy assistant. The board will also recognize outstanding students and educators of the month and hear from district administrators and the superintendent.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 13, at 6:00 p.m.
