FLOYD COUNTY, TX – Students across Floyd County are gearing up for a full week of rest and family time as both Floydada CISD and Lockney ISD close their campuses for the Thanksgiving holiday. The extended break gives students, families, and school staff the opportunity to relax and enjoy the season together.
Lockney ISD students will return to class on Monday, December 1, 2025. Once back, students in all grade levels will be required to attend school each Monday in December leading up to the start of Christmas Break, as the district works to maximize instructional time before the end of the semester.
Floydada CISD students will enjoy one additional day of rest, returning to class on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
As families prepare for the holidays, both districts encourage students to enjoy their time away, recharge, and come back ready to finish the semester strong.
