LUBBOCK, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds are competing this week in the 66th annual Caprock Classic tournament in Lubbock, taking part in the MGM Elegante Girls Bracket against strong regional competition.
The Lady Winds opened tournament play against Klondike, where they faced a tough matchup. Klondike came away with the win, defeating Floydada by a final score of 62–17.
Despite the loss, the Lady Winds continue tournament action and will look to rebound in their next game against Wildorado.
The Caprock Classic is one of the longest-running basketball tournaments in the region and provides teams valuable experience against high-level opponents.
