FLOYDADA, TX – The Floydada Whirlwinds look to open the new year on a strong note as district play begins Friday against Tahoka.
The Whirlwinds (3-12) ended 2025 with a win against Anton 69-63.
The Bulldogs (2-7) fell to Lamesa in their last game 79-25.
The JV boys game will start at 5:00 p,m. with the varsity set to tip-off at 7:30.
Friday Night will also serve as Senior night, a time that will recognize the seniors who participate in girls basketball, boys basketball, and powerlifting.
