NEW HOME, TX – The Floydada Lady Winds suffered their first district loss of the season Friday night, falling 49–11 to the New Home Lady Leopards in district play at New Home.
New Home took control early, building a lead in the opening quarter and maintaining steady pressure on both ends of the floor. The Lady Leopards continued to extend their advantage throughout the first half, limiting scoring opportunities for Floydada and taking a commanding lead into halftime.
The Lady Winds continued to compete in the second half, but New Home’s depth and tempo proved difficult to overcome as the Lady Leopards secured the district victory.
With the loss, Floydada moves to 3–1 in district play. The Lady Winds will look to regroup and bounce back as district competition continues in the coming weeks.
