Lockney ISD Honors Board of Trustees During School Board Appreciation Month

LOCKNEY, TX – Lockney ISD took time during its monthly school board meeting to recognize and honor each member of the Board of Trustees in celebration of School Board Appreciation Month, observed each January. The recognition served as a reminder of the vital role board members play in guiding the district and supporting students, staff, and the community.

Students and staff from Lockney High School, Lockney Junior High, and Lockney Elementary worked together to prepare and present tokens of appreciation to each board member. These items were given as a gesture of gratitude for the time, service, and dedication the board members continually give to Lockney ISD and the greater community.

The Lockney ISD Board of Trustees includes President Tyler Kidd, Vice President Heath Rexrode, Secretary Justin Graves, and members Cecilia Alvarado, Chad Cook, Tyler Duniven, and Justin Wright. Each member was formally acknowledged during the meeting for their commitment to public education and their ongoing efforts to help ensure the success of the district.

Board members expressed appreciation for the recognition and for the thoughtful gestures from the campuses. The observance highlighted the strong partnership between the school board, district staff, students, and the Lockney community, all working together to support quality education for local students.
