LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns powerlifting team delivered a strong showing at the regional qualifiers, with several athletes earning their place in the next round of competition.
Competing against top lifters from across the region, the Longhorns demonstrated strength, discipline, and months of dedicated preparation under pressure. Their hard work paid off as seven athletes secured qualification honors.
Regional qualifiers for Lockney include Ryan Casillas, Robert De Los Santos, Russell Casillas, Darrin Jimenez, Esaiel Nunez, Edward Longoria, and Jose Salazar.
Each lifter competed in the squat, bench press, and deadlift, striving for personal bests while representing Lockney with pride. Their performances reflect the continued growth of the powerlifting program and the commitment these student-athletes bring to the platform.
The Longhorns now turn their focus to the next stage of competition, carrying momentum and confidence forward as they continue their season.
