LOCKNEY, TX – The Lockney Longhorns battled in their district opener on Tuesday as they hosted the Clarendon Broncos.
The Broncos scored one run in the first and four in the top of the second to take a 5-0 lead.
The Longhorns struck back in the bottom of the second to get within one run, making it 5-4.
Clarendon continued their offense in the top of the third, adding three runs, extending their lead 8-4.
Lockney tried to fight back, but would fall in the district opener 11-5.
The Longhorns fall to 5-7 overall and 0-1 in district play.
