POST — The Lockney Longhorns (8-5) are apparently feeling the affect of their two leading scorers being out of the lineup in Josh Barretoro (18 ppg) and Austin Rodriquez (17 ppg) due to ankle injuries sustained in the second night of the Lockney Shootout on December 10. The Longhorns suffered two losses this past week to the Farwell Steers 74-29 on Tuesday at Longhorn Gym, and then to the Post Bold Gold Antelopes 59-40 on the road Friday.

Lockney had defeated Post 47-44 the previous Saturday to claim the Lockney Shootout Championship, but Post got revenge with a win on their home court a week later. The game in Lockney was a very intense game for the tournament title. The Longhorns possessed a six game winning streak coming out of the Shootout on December 11.

Nathan Hernandez was Lockney’s leading scorer against Farwell with 12-points.
