FLOYDADA – Floydada Collegiate High School’s National Honor Society has six additional scholars on the rolls as of Sunday afternoon.

The students signed their names into the official registry of the A.E. Baker chapter of the National Honor Society as part of their induction ceremonies at FCHS’s auditorium.

The biographies of the six – Edgar Cervera, Kylie Fipps, Anthony Garcia, Janeisi Garza, Azaylee Santos and Sierra Snowden – were read as each were tapped with a sword before being they were given their NHS pin, along with a yellow rose and the NHS collar they will wear at graduation.

Current members of the chapter from the Junior and Senior class then joined the six on stage to recite the National Honor Society pledge of scholarship, service, leadership and character. A reception for the new members followed.

Floydada Collegiate High School’s National Honor Society chapter is named in honor and memory of A.E. Baker, a former educator and superintendent at Floydada ISD.
