FLOYDADA – It’s time to party.
Floydada’s Serrato Sisters will be hosting a Cinco de Mayo fiesta at their venue at 214 S. Main Street Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
There will be activities for adults and kids, including a chance to take a whack at a pinata starting at 7:00 p.m. They will also have a dress-up contest, with the winner receiving a Whirlwind Nutrition gift certificate.
The event will feature a number of local vendors selling handmade items and will also have plenty of authentic Mexican foods for sale. “We’re trying to incorporate the traditional holiday,” said Yuleida Serrato, who added they are looking at hosting holiday-specific themed events for July 4 and other upcoming days this fall.
