LOCKNEY – Do you live in Lockney? Do you have some old building materials or maybe a broken appliance crowding up your garage? Do you have junk you just need throw away? If you’ve said yes, the city has come to save the day.

Starting Monday the 20th the city will have a trash and junk collection point at 600 South Main Street – at the old Webster’s gas station – from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Tires will not be accepted during the week this year. City Manager Buster Poling tells the Record the cost of tire disposal is too prohibitive for the city to take part in every year.

For more information, residents can contact Lockney City Hall at (806) 652-2355 or visiting cityoflockney.com
