TAHOKA, TX – A former Gold Star Recipient from the Floyd County 4-H Club has become the new Lynn County AgriLife agent for family and community health.

Kaci (Mathis) Scott, the daughter of Mike and Ginger Mathis of Lockney, graduated from Texas Tech with her undergraduate in family and consumer sciences education and a master’s in counselor education.

This role is not unfamiliar for the Lockney native as she was the AgriLife Extension 4-H and youth development agent in Hale County before teaching family and consumer sciences in the Lubbock ISD. In addition, Scott was the lead counselor in Lubbock.

“Through the many programming efforts and personal development opportunities,” she explains, “I look forward to helping improve the lives of all of the citizens of Lynn County.”
